Always Keep Your Hands Up On Defense

Be active on defense. Confuse your opponent. Block his or her eyesight. Get those hands in the passing lane. The more active your hands, the more active feet your feet, the more distractions you will cause, and the more likely the defense will turn over the ball.

Make sure to talk to your teammates about keeping their hands up. It’s an easy thing to forget especially in the fourth quarter when everyone is tired. It’s a crucial skill especially in a zone defense when keeping the ball out of the paint will keep the offense from getting an easy shot.
