Key to Having a Quick Release

Another tip when shooting and when bending your knees. Want to have the fastest shot in the city or neighborhood? Have your knees already bent before you receive the ball so you can shoot the ball fast. If you ever want to play college ball, this is must skill because everyone is so fast and athletic.

Picture it for a minute, you standing on the three point line wide open ready to shot the ball. You can either catch the ball, then bend your knees, then jump in the air, and then release the ball. Or you can stand on the three point line with your knees already bent ready to jump in the air and release the ball as soon as you catch the ball. This half second will be the difference between getting a shot off or not. And when you’re in college this is a must to have.
